a gorgon interested in digital art.

hello everyone. I am here to introduce myself, since i´ll probably post questions and demands soon, and thought this to be a more polite way to start.
(i hope you can understand my written text, for my mother tounge is not english.)
err and please excuse my odd choice of words, ya?

I stumbled upon PAS while searching for a free and easy to use program, because i wanted to "convert" my 2-dimensional pictures to actual 3-d models. i have already gained some experience in autodesc maya, but i wanted to keep the big models of towns/ the world rough and simple.

my first tries at editing in Sandbox resulted in a mountain cut in half, floating blocks, damaged textures and one very ugly house, but i grew to like the program and started to actually watch some tutorial videos and the like.

i already sketched out one of 8 cities from a project of mine, which wasn´t that simple, because the city is a collection of tubes, spheres and diagonal lines. i´m posting a picture, yes? gallery/image_page.php?album_id=1&image_id=143

Please don´t be sad if i´m not telling you my name. i´ve had some bad experience in the past. You could call me sera and consider me a female.

Welcome to the sandbox forums, you'll be the 3rd female here (but the other females aren't seen online for a while).
I saw your picture, it seems you don't know about highfieldmode, which'll make making that river much better: select some land, press h once, scroll down to make a river, up to make mountains (you have to change the material to water for the river).

Well, if you have any issues, ask them.
And please read the forum rules, you can find them here:

No you did not violate any of the rules. When you have a chance come join us in the Chat Room to get to know us better :) --> http://sandboxgamemaker.com/irc/irc.html.
Good work on the map by the way...its a good start!

Gr1m

I know what you mean, but you can better use q + scrolling 4 that, like this:

Instead of:

Hope this helps

along with rune's point, there's scroll wheel (if you have one), click with it and drag, then roll it forward.
What's your first language?

I made a roof and narrowing(?) entrance with this q-scolling, and i think it´s AWESOME!

Glad it worked, it looks cool, but how you made that buildings without scrolling weel? you copied them from Leo's objects map?

i not know any leo. i read the ingame help and figured the scrolling + q was a pretty neat feature. i´m glad i wrote down the number of scolling, because after i copied the first roof (i need it 3 times) it was all torn and wavy and i had to fix it.

err, do you/someone need help with 2-d design and drawings? that´s what i usually do, and i would be glad to help.
i can do animals, men, women, old stuff, new stuff, but my robots are not that pretty.
