Platinum Arts Sandbox - Free 3D Game Maker Forum

Hey everyone. Just wanted to introduce myself

A little about myself: I'm 40, married with 2 kids and a 3rd on the way! I've been a gamer most of my life, and interested in 3D modeling and game creation for the past 5-6 years. I've tried quite a few programs... 3D Rad, Irrlicht, Blender, Milkshape, Truespace and own a standard version of 3D Gamestudio 7. I've dabbled with levels...but haven't made it through a full game, but I hope to now!

I'm interested in RPG's, MMORPG's, FPS's...etc...mostly traditional fantasy and future-scifi.... and I'm strongly considering getting into kids educational games...etc.

IRL...I'm a network engineer/database admin, with a TINY bit of C++, C#, VB.net experience...but most of my coding/dev is SQL.

I've been pretty impressed with Sandbox so far. Very easy to use! Nice workflow. I might even create some tutorials!

what's up? 40 years old and a gamer? WOW. That sounds great, reminds me of an article in a gamer's magazine of a letter a guy sent, he was 40 years old (article published in 06 or 07, around the time the Wii came out), he was a teacher and a big gamer. It was beautiful.
