Easy CFG Editor (for maps)
Posted: March 30th, 2010, 6:56 pm
This is a text editor that will make creating your cfgs so much easier by giving you small hints as you go along and help you identify any errors, that's the plan anyway .
It is an independent program! Windows only, sorry. Started Friday 2nd April
Progress:
After 6 days of work:
- Overall Project Progress
Version 1.0.5 progress:
- Code redesign
- Bugs fixed (of the ones that have been found)
- FPS Commands database (I am focusing most of my energy on this)
- Interface & features (until I think of more stuff to add)
What's new for version 1.0.4:
Bug fixes.
Even more FPS commands added to the database.
Interruptible colouring.
Directory memory bank. <<very cool
License.
Coming to later versions:
Small section colouring (to be in version 1.0.5)
(possibly:) Undo last action button (to be in version 1.0.5)
Complete change in coding, will fix loads of problems (to be in version 1.0.5)
FPS/RPG mode switcher (to be in version 1.1.1)
RPG Commands database (to be in version 1.1.1)
Here's how it works:
Code that you enter that is valid turns blue. Comments on code (behind "//") turn green/dark cyan. Code with errors or code that the game doesn't understand turns red. (Most code will turn red because it hasn't yet been implemented) Code that may or may not be correct turns gray.
Enjoy!
http://www.sendspace.com/file/vtmpqj (Version 1.0)
http://www.sendspace.com/file/5hwjj4 (Version 1.0.4) I would put the exe in the "my stuff\packages\base" folder to make saving and loading easier. What you could do is create a shortcut for it on the desktop.
Click on the "Things you should know." button before you begin!
When downloading a new version, all you have to do is delete the exe of the previous version and put the new one in it's place.
If you don't want to download it from the site above, pm me your email address and I'll email it to you.
