lol....something unexplainable is happening...

I put an if statement in the same place as a showgui (just after a "[")and it doesn't recognise it, although it recognizes the showgui. Just by adding one space in front of it, and it recognizes it. Place it just after a "]" however and it works fine!

Aside from the fact that it seems you're making this platform specific, I see a lot of potential in this project. Maybe you ought to take a look into something like PyQT, which would allow you to build this to be compatible with *NIX, Windows, and Mac OS X. The main downside of that, however, is that you'll have to learn python in order to use PyQT (and having this to learn from will help a lot). Python's a lot different from any C-based or Microsoft-built language, but with the capabilities of the language, it's definitely worth it.

Whatever you choose, good luck with it.

I only carried out the project since I could do it in a language I already know lots about and I have ongoing projects in college with this language so...

When I go on to university this October, I'll be learning some different languages like Java and C++, I'll start expanding my "language toolbox" then.

Right now I don't have enough time on my hands to start learning a new language, sorry bout that. There's no copyright on the idea though so if anyone else can do it in a cross-platform language that's fine.

there are a couple of bugs. I noticed you could do some strange stuff with the newgui command and it'd still be happy with it so that needs fixing.

the next version (1.0.2) will have:

Bugs fixed. To be completed in version 1.0.2
You no longer need to create the autosave file yourself, the program will do it for you. (you can even delete it and it'll just put it right back :P)
Autosave has option of saving every time the textbox is coloured in. So if the program crashes, the script you were working on will still be there when you get back.
The ability to easily and safely clear script and revert the script to it's default (commented guides etc.).
The ability to easily and safely save to and load from .txt files and .cfg files.
Popups with descriptions of what different tools do. (Hover the cursor over the tool to see what they do)
Even more recognized commands.

It may or may not be released today. Probably around 2 in the morning english time ( 3.40 hours from now)
