texture making tool; NeoTextureEdit
I don't know if anyone has come across this before, but this looks like a nice texture making tool.
Its node based so anyone who has worked with nodes in blender should feel right at home.
and its cross platform too.

That looks gorgeous! I've been using MapZone for my textures, so I'm used to nodes. I think I'll try it out!

This is almost exactly like MapZone, Arc. Except for being open source. But anyways, I'm definitely getting this. Looks great.

Each of those boxes linked together (such as the ones named "brick", "Perlin noise", "warp", etc) is a node. Each does something (else they'd be pointless ).

Re: texture making tool; NeoTextureEdit
I am a complete noob when it comes to textures. My question is: Once the texture is made, how do I add it to Sandbox? Is there a step-by-step tutorial?

@johnno: yes, there is a way to add to Sandbox, you need to export the textures to .jpg or .png first from NTE, to get it into Sandbox, follow here: http://www.sandboxgamemaker.com/wiki/in ... _a_new_map

Re: texture making tool; NeoTextureEdit
Best texture tut I have seen. Worked like a charm. Many thanks for the assist. (reason for inquiry: I am trying to recreate the old DOS Wolfensein 3D game using the same textures. Originals were 64x64, but used Gimp to resize and rename. Used the texture tutorial. Now I am rocking. Ah. Memories! - now if I can only figure out how to use the same bad guys... but, that's another story and a different post...)
Again, thanks for the assist.
