Well Matt, I've talked to you about this several times in the IRC room.
It seems you didn't spend much time mapping the map out, the lighting also seems a bit funny in areas.
Why is there an empty pyramid?
Half of the entire map is empty, you were given well over 2 weeks to do this map.
The scripts and all, make no difference. It's all about looks.

packaging

pros
* no invalid characters
* uses zip

cons
* no mapshots :(

you get 4/5 for packaging; though a readme would've been nice for newbies :P

map

cons
* lightmaps are broken
* very poor quality lighting (post calculation)
* you have 6 suns
* geometry is extremely simple and rudimentary
* the scripts contain errors
* no visual representation for the "you can haz 5 moneys" trigger

for your map I'd give you 2/5

2/5 * 3/4 + 4/5 * 1/4 = 0.5, normally that'd round to 3/5, but I was probably generous with the packaging marks, so I'm rounding down instead

2/5

Nice start Mathew but it seems like there were some scripting and lighting problems with the map. I did like how you started to include Merchants in your map. That was a neat idea to be able to buy a house. Also a lot of the map was just empty. Even if you just used heightmap (which is the H key + mousewheel) to make some hills or holes, it would have given it a lot more substance. I'm interested to see where you take this map :) Unfortunately I need to give it a 2 because it seems unfinished and that you have a lot of cool stuff to add to it yet. Take care!

I want to make a map with the whole sandbox team that would be awesome but there would be some problems like every one not wanting to do one thing but hopefully we could pull through...
