Chaze no where does it say that it needs to be an eye candy map, these are your words

"Mapping is creating your own world/town/anything really, in sandbox.
We're looking for major creativity, and realism."

So the grade should be on that hehe. Take care!

Thank you Chaze for uploading this. I guess we should make a note that people can use the server to host the maps too. Also I'd be happy to host the maps on the Sandbox site.

Pros:
This was my favorite map of the contest. I really want to play this map multiplayer and I loved how you had a lot of variety in the obstacles and it required you to think as you were going through. The map did look slightly drab but since it is meant to be a race, that means better performance, though you could have used a bit more texture variety. I also think that this is the most polished and complete of the maps.

Cons:
- What was with the "nothing" particles? It would have been neat if at the end you had "WINNER!!!" instead of "nothing" and a sound that was triggered for the winner. Hopefully that would work in MP too, I should probably test that :)
- You submitted a .BAK file which is a backup file.

Do we have permission to include this in Sandbox? I don't want to say it will definitely make it in but I really like it, good work! Take care.

packaging

pros

cons
* you used rar, this format is NOT supported on OSX, and is NOT supported well on Linux
* there's no screenshots
* you didn't include the -art cfg file
* you've included a backup of the map, hence boosted the filesize unnecessarily

for this aspect, I vote 2/5

the map

pros
* fun to run around in

cons
* the level is bombarded with empty text particles
* rudimentary lighting

bonus points
* inspiring me to add a race mode to the 2.5 wishlist :P

so I'll be voting 4/5 for your level
you average 3.5/5, so I'll vote 4

im new to the whole uploading maps thing, so i probably forgot to add something that would make the text particles work, because they work fine for me, on the same note, i didnt really know what to send (i just saw the help topic that was made <.<) so i didnt know wheter the .BAK was necessary... next time ill try to send it more neatly with everything thats needs to be there... there! thanks for the feedback, ill keep it in mind next time.

Again the permission question went unanswered. Can we put this into Sandbox? If we ever get race mode into Sandbox, this will be perfect! Take care.
