Ahab's contest map ( unfinished, bleh )

Whew!
Just under the deadline
( but there is so much I want to do still....)
Here's my contest entry... 'cavern2'
I enter it although its unfinished.
its part of a much larger project; a number of maps linked from 'trainmap'
Its pretty dark ( caverns often are ), but the rpg's torch-light is pretty neat!
oh...it uses the svn version, but there really isn't anything special that requires new stuff ( except the torchlight )
There is a pathway from top to bottom... hope you're not afraid of heights!

I loved the way your map is built, the big drop too.
I didn't fully see your map for what it is, but what it could be..I felt a sense of adventure playing it.
There are many geometry errors in your map, it's good for an unfinished too. Good job!

packaging
the idea is to use a 2^n image for the mapshot, with an alternative bigger screen size version as the _big one, other than that the packaging is impeccable,
4.5/5 for this
the map
pros
* the lighting despite their sparseness is good; I suspect that's WHY you suggested the RPG
cons
* I feel you could've done better in regards to the particles, have you played with e.attr6->e.attr8 yet?
* geometry glitches as chaze mentioned
bonus points
* the scale is massive!
I'd settle with 3.5/5; there's a lot to do still
you'll have to accept my average of 3.75/5 (and hence a vote of 4)

I cant load the map
It says: the map has malformatted header cavern2.ogz

you need the SVN version, aka the current developmental stuff (in that sense, not 2.3)

I use that svn version and it can update correctly, but with this map it gives me malformatted header like siimvuss.

I use the svn and update it every couple of days
I wonder what the problem might be...
