NOTE: New Forum Section For Watergun Wars!
viewforum.php?f=42

Thanks to a lot of help from Cube 2 I'd like to introduce Watergun Wars! The game will feature the action of the more adult games but instead of blood and gore it will feature water blasting destruction! Current modes are "Drenchmatch" "Team Drenchmatch", CTF, Base Capture and hopefully more :)

Currently the SVN aka Development version already has the working guns!! Guns include the water pistol, water chaingun, water balloon launcher, water balloon rocket launcher, water sniper, water shotty, and water saw! I'd love to eventually get a Water Thrower in too ;D You can download it right now and try it out for yourself! Using Waterwars.bat will launch you right into the test map!

Here is what we need, if you are interested in helping please let me know. Also suggestions are more than welcome! We'll certain need some playtesters to offer feedback soon too :D

As a note everything submitted should be able to be used commercially (generally some form of creative commons) since we want to make Sandbox as easy as possible for people to make their own games!

Obviously the list is subject to change as new stuff is added and completed!

I could probably test and help create content for this (possibly models, maybe icons, maps would be fun as well), as well as provide feedback, of course. Personally, I think that basing waterwars off of Red Eclipse would be much better, as I personally find Red Eclipse to be much better than Sauerbraten. Don't know why, I just like it a lot more.

Anyways, I can't get the SVN version, due to non-admin issues, so I can't install an SVN client. If someone would be so kind and provide me with the latest SVN version in a .zip file, I'd be incredibly happy, and I'd be able to test it out. Just zip up the latest windows version, upload and PM me the link, and I should be good to go.

Yeah, RE has a lot of cool features (I've mentioned their jetpack to Hirato), that'd be a very cool one, maybe we could somehow incorporate superpowers into this? Like the power to freeze water in midair or turn it into steam (via supercooling and superheating, respectively), so going back to the jetpack... a water jetpack? Like this: http://www.mariowiki.com/F.L.U.D.D.#Gallery. Maybe we could also have an ice shield or something like that? I'm just yelling stuff out, anybody else think these are good, plausible ideas?

The ideas are certainly worth noting and writing down but first things first we need to have the basic gameplay done and make sure it is FUN. Identify what elements are fun and what aren't and what needs tweaking. There is certainly room for other cool enhancements :)

Oops, yeah, of course... I think I'll just slowly, calmly back off now...

Feel free to jot the ideas down :D I'm just saying we might not be able to get to them for a bit, that's all ;D
