Thanks Mr. Pie for the model link, that's a cool site!! I was thinking these might work out a little better since they are low poly:

I'm not 100% sold on them but I'm going to keep looking :)

I kinda like this guy too, looks like he'd be fun to blast even though he's high poly it might work just fine!

Funny character:

Haha we gotta make use of this somewhere:

I think this could pass as a water gun, perhaps the sniper:

Also chaingun, and an extra (for a waterthrower eventually?)

Another chaingun (obviously would need to have the bullets removed and maybe a watertank somewhere on it)

Here are some more cool characters, they're all robots, they could be suitable as bots for single-player matches.

Also, not to try to overcomplicate things (again), when mike said watertank, I thought an actual tank (like the vehicle), that'd be a cool idea, kind of like a neutral monster entity in terms of behavior and purpose.

In my map I have some sniper spots, so a sniper rifle is really needed, shooting from end to end in a 12 sized map without a sniper, not really possible =P

Hmm, I like the robot models a lot, but it almost seems a little too generic (just my opinion). And possibly since it's water wars and more kid-themed, we should probably go kids. Just my thoughts :)

Cartoony - cool; creepy - no.

Generic? What's that supposed to mean?
I realize WW is kid themed, but maybe there could be a bot based practice map or something similar, and the kid models could be used to represent online opponents. Plus the bots are kind of kiddish as well.

I made that judgement based on the cover, now I can see what you're really getting at. For others who want to see what we're talking about:

Generic as in a lot of games/things nowadays use robots as main things. Being different will stand out. But yeah, I agree, the bots are kiddish and could do quite well for bot based stuff ;)

True, as many games these days have futuristic settings featuring robots. I realize being different will stand out, but if we didn't use robots, what would we use? Sauerbraten uses actual monsters as enemies while Red Eclipse uses humans in suits along with zombies as opponents and enemies. The robots aren't supposed to necessarily be evil killing machines, just opponents looking for a good fight. Plus, with robots, we could have them short-circuit as opposed to dying while spilling blood and gore all over the place.
