Just wondering if making a mmo to where you can log in and out and be where you left off, Have a bank and store stuff, have a huge map with thousands of particles, lights, models, and creatures. Would that be to much for the sandbox are would it just lag so bad you would just have to shut down the game?
What all is sandbox capable off? what I want to do is have creatures drop stuff when you kill them and be able to sell the stuff to the store, be able to trade the stuff to other players playing on your server, have creatures to ride on, be able to customize your charater and somehow be able to transfer the charaters data like high scores or stats to a website from sandbox, Is that too much for sandbox to handle?
"Tell me what is possible and isn’t"

Re: Sandbox Question: MMO
we don't support any of that, so good luck!
sandbox can handle very big levels quite efficiently, but it lacks LOD, and things other games use to make big worlds more manageable. so at best you could try to do something similar to neverwinter nights (in short, have a lot of smaller worlds/levels, but connect them up)...
I'll add map state saving into the todo somewhere
