You got Wordpad? Use that.

how do i do it on wordpad?

When the window pops up, I think there should be an option that says "Choose program from list" or something like that. Click it and select Wordpad.

I prefer notepad ++ and it is free.

All of the .cfg files are in a text format. You can open it with Notepad or any other text editor.

Right click on the file and select "open with...". Locate Notepad. Click ok. That should do it.
