Project Core is an innovative 3D sandbox project.
The goal is simple, to use timing, and puzzle solving to complete a series of experimental challenges.
The project is based off of a demomap I made for fun, Experimental Chambers.
You can compare the environment type to Portal. - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portal_(video_game)
The main difference is that Project Core does not use portals for puzzle solving.
The project is not far into development. It hasn't even left the idea stage.
The point of this topic is for you, the community, to contribute ideas, sounds, models, textures, anything that can help.
Below is a list included of ideas I have for puzzles, items, upgrades, and what they all do.
ITEM IDEA LIST
The Pulse Boots - These boots act as an all in one accessory to extend human power beyond their natural extent. These boots have a total of -- upgrades so far.
Pulse Pad - These pads create a short burst of pulse energy to supply the pulse boots with power. This is used to recharge the pulse boots
Gravity Pad - These pads change the gravity of an area. This is used for more unique puzzles.
Cube - Boxes that are basically used for many different puzzles.
UPGRADE IDEA LIST
Jet Dash Chip - This Pulse Boot upgrade allows the user to perform a short, but powerful dash. The use of this is so the player can dash across large gaps, or past death traps.
PUZZLE IDEA LIST
Platform - Horizontal moving structure.
Elevator - Vertical moving structure.
Jump pad - This is basically a pad that makes the user bounce.
Teleports - A series of teleport pads can create a challenging puzzle.
Lasers - These tricky devils will kill whatever it touches.
Turrets - Immobile enemies that shoot small lasers at the player.
Wind Duct - A....lesser means of travel.
Hazard Zones - Pits of lava, electricity, spikes, or whatever kills.
Falling Tiles - Floors that cave in.
This is still under construction - duh.
