Maps to obj file plus inside game video

I found you could save your map to a obj file. It could be used for testing color schemes etc. nice...

Sorry mate, I forgot to mention how...
Go to edit mode and at the command prompt type:

writeobj plus type a file name for the obj file.

The file will be saved in your Sandbox folder.

Well, it's kinda small in size, so it a outpost castle fort, maybe 10 soldiers...
The garrison's md3 file after conversion with the game's smoothing routine on models makes it not very usefull in game. kinda ugly
but sure is fun to be able to export and then get color, texture and some concept ideas flowing. 8-)

I meant that it would be neat to see the map as it appeared in Sandbox, before you did the /writeobj Take care!

Ok, a quick tour of the castle fort. The landscape and such is bare but a normal map is applied on the walls. Ah, I did animate a flag though...
Link is below, the video is about 16 meg.

PS checked it out, I really like the brush work you did on that map, it looks awesome! Also that flag rocks! We definitely need flags for water wars as well if you would be interested in submitting it. Thanks again for posting this!
