Platinum Arts Sandbox - Free 3D Game Maker Forum

Hello! My name is LeafClaw, as my username says, and I have come to this forum for assistance in a fairly large project for any warriors fan. This post will be divided into sections for your convenience.

My goal
My goal is to create a large, singlepalyer RPG for warrior cats! I am hoping I can make a story mode and a freeplay mode, but if it is more efficient for people, I'll only make story mode, which will follow the storyline of the first *book. The reason I wanted to work on this is there in NO multi-platform RPG online other than those forum-based ones. People with Macs or Linuxes could not enjoy these download-able games. I want this to become possible with this RPG.

What I Need

There are only two jobs I really need help with, and that's coding and modeling. I've read coding tutorials, and I get some of it, just got all of it. My second job is modeling, which I am unable to do on my computer because of my operating system and budget. The more modelers the better, because I'll need objects AND cats, as well as enemies.

Q. Will I be paid?
No. I don't have enough money to pay you, but you will be highly credited for your help.

Q.Will you sell this game for money?
No. If I can't pay you, I won't sell this game. It just isn't fair that I would make money and you wouldn't if you helped.

No. See above.

Q. What platform will this be on?
This will hopefully be a multi platform game, and you should be able to download it, when finished, on mac, linux, and windows.

I'm making a 2D mmorpg on warrior cats! Anyway, what OS do you have? Is it windows or mac? or x64, x86, because blender works on all those, just needs an alternative download. I'm not good at modeling but if you wish for a link, here http://www.blender.org/

He doesn't own the rights for what? I think he meant cats that fight... :/

Warrior Cats is a book series, I believe... so he would have definite rights problems if he used characters and settings similar to the books.

Imma girl, thank you very much, people. -_- Anyway, I INTEND to give Erin Hunter full credit for warriors. None of the other games I've sen have become tangled in that rights business so far. As for modeling, I have used blender before. Yet, that was before I had to move to a 10.3.9, which blender does not run on. I intend to work on sandbox as well to earn experience before I even start this project here. Additionally, thank you, chocolatepie33, for clearing up what warriors is. :3 I don't intend to be rude, but I realize the flaws in my plan now and will work with it to make it simpler. Thank you.

LeafClaw I'd recommend instead of using the same name and 100% exact concept of Warrior Cats, why not create something new? Having animals as warriors, even cats isn't something new as I remember an old show Samurai Pizza Cats, haha. You could even call it Ferocious Felines or something, haha. That way you could eventually sell it and hopefully avoid legal troubles with Warrior Cats. Also a new spin on things would be interesting though I don't know the story myself.

If you are trying to get people interested and excited in your project how about posting some more info on your project like cool ideas you have for features/maps/missions. Just some things for you to think about Good luck on your project.
