The Cube 2 Doc definse a number of animations for a model, like forward, idle and so on. But is it possible to add more animations like crawl? Is it possible to make a difference between walking and running? Is it possible to add more idle animations?

Lots of questions. I hope, this project is still alive to get some answers

Well, adding animations to a model means you have to use Blender (External program). I tried to use Blender but... hel 'tis a bunch of raw meat.
