Co-op Editing Question
When do you estimate the master server for online multiplayer will be up and running? Or is it already and I just don't know about it? Also, is there a way to do co-op edit over the internet currently if the master server isn't working yet?
Yay. ^_^

Re: Co-op Editing Question
I'm not sure if they plan on ever putting up a master server, and of course you can do co-op editing without a master server. A computer has to run the server batch (server.bat for windows users) and players have to type "/connect <IP Address>" to connect to it. Ports have to be opened for the server to work assuming it has a router. When in game type "/coop <map name>" to start a map, other players have to type the same thing. "/sendmap" will send your map to the server for other players to type "/getmap" to obtain it, so that way players will see the same thing.

It's planned, it's just on the open source schedule. That famous open source quote applies...Joe Staff wrote:I'm not sure if they plan on ever putting up a master server, and of course you can do co-op editing without a master server. It'll be done when it's done.

Re: Co-op Editing Question
Okay. I forwarded my ports. I'm gonna try and see if this works tomorrow. Or possibly tonight.
OH! Almost forgot. The IP is 192.168.1.10. If anyone wants to try to do Co-op with me, PM me when I'm online and I'll set up a server.

Re: Co-op Editing Question
I think, in command prompt, you type...ahh, wait, no.
Is your server behind the same router as the computer you are visiting with? Because if that is the case, I can grab your IP from phpBB.

Re: Co-op Editing Question
Well, I think so. I'm pretty new to networking, but I think that's right.
