Jumping Puzzle

Ladies and gentlemen, I hereby present what I've working on (and off) ever since discovering Sandbox in end of December last year: Jumping Puzzle, a first person platform action level. It is a running and jumping quest for an item of great value. The level's comprised of several segments that have challenges of slightly different sorts and are connected via teleporters. There are also some risky shortcuts you can take; tell me if you find them.

With this map I wanted to make something "old school" and reminiscent of both the 2D platformers of yore and the platforming seen in some first-person shooters. You are to judge if it succeeds at that. I should also warn you that the level might be rather cruel at times (edit: now that it has checkpoints, it's much less cruel). If you think it's too cruel, though, please tell me.

You can see more screenshots of the map in the preview thread.

Release history:
1.0 (version not indicated in the level): initial release.
1.1: Added respawn points. Thanks, Hippy|Cow!

Current version: http://www.mediafire.com/?omiovnknmwy.

The license is Image.

EDIT(s): fixed my writing a bit.
More edits: added the release history, some more description text.

i played it and see it as a large map filled with potential. I have a few recommendations for you:
1.) Add respawn points.
This can easily be done in editing GUI under ents. If you do this people can start somewhere through it, instead of restarting entirely"
2.) Put it indoors
You should put it indoors so you can have strange lighting on it. This could make it harder.
i think that it was interesting how you used water as a bridge.

Hey, Hippy|Cow! Having respawn points is very good advice indeed. I've just added them to the map. Thanks.
As to putting the level inside, I'll try it but I don't think I'll keep it. I do think that the "look and feel" of this level relies considerably on it being outdoors and enclosure might spoil it. However, I intend to make my next level an indoor one and lighting tricks is certainly something I'm going to consider.
