My New Computer!

Post by Joe Staff »

I got it earlier today and I am absolutely in love with it. Playing games like Sims 3 and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky on highest settings and 1680x1050 res is just fantastic. I can tab out of games without worrying if I'm able to get back in or not. Games load faster than ever with a solid state drive that holds everything that's installed, including Windows 7 64-bit (I'll time how long it takes to go from off to fully loaded windows later) Storage is no longer a concern with 1.5 TB of hard drive space (storage only seeing how it's soooo not ubar-fast) The sound is pretty good and games are just so fun now.

Specs

Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition -- 4 cores at ~3.2ghz w/Liquid Cooling
Video: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295 -- 1792MB of memory 896-bit
MotherBoard: ASUS M4A79T Deluxe AM3 DDR3 AMD 790FX CrossFire Chipset w/7.1 Sound, Gb LAN, S-ATA Raid, USB 2.0, Dual PCI-E MB
RAM: 8GB (4x2GB) DDR3 - 1600FSB RAM
Disk Drives: 128GB SSD-0RPM - 1.5TB HDD-7200RPM
Monitor: 20" HD LCD 16:10 1080p

Time to kick up my gaming spectrum, I guess I can play games like King's Quest 6 and Leisure Suit Larry 5
Check out this Android game I'm making :D

You may want to try dual-booting, Fedora and Ubuntu now have 20-second boot times to get everything running and to the login screen. :)

I've been playing Crysis 2 on my new machine on full blast with no lag, I experienced some lag when it saved durring a very pretty scene of a battleship exploding, but that was it. Check this screen out

Just me zooming in sneaking up on a bad guy, this is a JPG, the BMP is better =p

This forum crops it, to get a good view, hold CTRL and scroll down the mouse wheel (works for FireFox and IE6-8)

Actually, try .png, it's not as lossy, and definitely not as big as .bmp.

Also, you /can/ link to the image.

Looks great. Not familiar with Crysis. Glad that you are pleased with your puchase.

Just right click on the image and go to view image and it should work. Also you guys can use the board attachments for your images. Take care.
