Id be willing to write an extensive set of tutorials on modelling, texturing and animating, specific to sandbox, if someone were equally willing to help me out with a good lot of coding I require (which I would then endeavour to write another tutorial on - if I understood it)

Anyone up for it? Just a thought...

Maybe. Providing you write up the tutorials then send them my way for corrections, final additions, exporting into PDF Format and testing. I would love to help!

Sure Leo I'll do that :) I was thinking on putting it all on a website like this: http://sandboxmodels.webs.com/ So everyone could check on my progress, however I could also write them to .pdf file if you wish :)

I had been trying to get the time to do something like this, and actually I have written a rather extensive tutorial on the usage of level triggers and trigger tags and a detailed explanation of the shop script. You could use that if you like!

That would be cool - wheres that?

I'm thinking more along the line of weapons and health though- to me its the only thing I have yet to find a single tutorial on, and only a select set of people can do it.

Thought I'd make a kick ass tutorial in exchange for that knowledge and then wirte another tutorial on that, so everything is covered.

Triggers is one thing that really does need described properly too tho, so I'm glad your doing that :)

Also, once I get my health prototype for DT running, I'll give it to you ;)

It'll be efficient and allow the use of healthpacks/medical kits (each with a different healing amount). And, it'll allow for many different ways to harm the player. :D

Fudge. That was unintendid. :)

Anyway, yeah, I agree. Weapons are mainly in RPG mode atm. I'd check Sauer actually for references :)

I had a thing started on the wiki about coding npcs and stuff, but that has since been abandoned. It was kind of like a super guide.

Now, how would "modelling, texturing and animating" be specific to sandbox? Just curious... (My best idea is that "wanted model list" that I asked Mike and Hirato for a while ago, and didn't get. And the list needed to be updated, not the one we have now.)
