Hi, I'm thinking of making some mapmodel content for Sandbox. I need to know what the average triangulate polygon count per model would be considered good for the game engine. I know this depends also where the model is place, whether the model will be seen upclose or far away etc.

there is no official limit, but there's a few numbers we'd suggest you adhere too
players -> 2K at most
objects -> depending, but trying for around 800 is a good idea
but it really depends on the model
just don't forget that you can create a LOT of extra nearly FREE detail with normal maps
