OK, I'm making my waterwars map, right? Well, whenever I load that map, it's really slow, especially on "loading octree" and "checking geometry".
When I do get it going, it's really slow when I'm looking at heightmapped areas. It's at speeds around 20-31 fps, whereas I look @ the sky and it jumps to 140 fps. Is there anything to do to help this? My map has a lot of h-mapping, including a map-crossing river, a lake, "cliffs", mountains and a valley. Also, do the textures I use have to do with this?
When I texture, I set the gridsize to the lowest setting, then highlight areas on the same height (flat) and then texture it.

Re: Slow Sandbox
did you used much objects, if you make 2 much of them it'll lagg, if you look into them (even when they're behind something else, when you look into the sky, you don't look at them, so your fps goes up, I think that's your problem, am I right? do you use much objects? (trees are the worst 4 ur fps)

Re: Slow Sandbox
No. I don't have ANY tree mapmodels. Heck, I only have a jumppad model on the whole map.
