I'm on linux, and I have no permissions for the folder where the sandbox files also can not find the map files that you create so I put them in a different location ...

when you save, type /savemap mapname

then type /savemap foldername/mapname

BTW: The maps are in packages/base or mystuff/packeges/base
and the folder will create itself and save in there

It depends where you saved SB
SomeTimes certian directories won't give you permission period
Can you copy and paste it to your desktop?

after using chmod, manages to read and write permissions but still I think the maps appear in the game ... at least in the folder but in game if they appear ...

I can now copy files from the base folder to the desktop, but still do not see my maps created and therefore I can not edit ...

I could give examples of how to save a map so as to create a folder inside the base folder ... so maybe I work ...

if not, the last thing I can do is use a map created and rename it, and ready, but if I wanted to make a second level there would be a problem ...

you need to know where is my maps ...

Thanks for your answers

usuario # cd /usr/share/sandboxgamemaker/packages
packages # chmod a+rwx base
packages # chmod u+rwx base}
chmod: cannot access `base}': No such file or directory
packages # chmod u+rwx base
packages # chmod u+rwx packages
chmod: cannot access `packages': No such file or directory
packages # cd..
cd..: command not found
packages # cd /usr/share/sandboxgamemaker
sandboxgamemaker # chmod u+rwx packages
sandboxgamemaker # chmod a+rwx packages
sandboxgamemaker # chmod a+rwx base
chmod: cannot access `base': No such file or directory
sandboxgamemaker # cd /usr/share/sandboxgamemaker/packages
packages # chmod a+rwx base

this is the output of the terminal you use to set permissions to files, but at the end when I click it right and I seek the permissions tab is not editable ... it be?

any moderator who has the answer this using the sandbox 2.5, linux mint ... installed through repositories
